How to play

8mal5 is a German Wordle-style browser game designed specifically for the German language.
This is a pure non-commercial just-for-fun hobby project by a german developer.
It fully supports umlauts (ä, ö, ü) and ß, which many Wordle clones ignore.
Players can choose word lengths from 4 to 9 letters, solve a daily puzzle for each length, or play unlimited random words.
You can also create and share custom puzzles via encrypted links so others can solve the exact same word.
The game is completely ad-free, requires no registration, and keeps local statistics.
All solution words are base forms, and the word list is carefully curated and continuously improved.
